Upon returning from a short-term service trip with the Joint Distribution Commitee (JDC) to Rwanda, I was called “a walking JDC advertisement.” But, in my mind, it’s not hard to support the JDC.
The JDC’s mission is an important one: to provide rescue, relief and renewal to Jewish communities and people around the world. Additionally, the JDC’s reach extends beyond the global Jewish community by providing non-sectarian and long-term development assistance worldwide.
The JDC Jewish Service Corps (JSC) offers young people the opportunity to directly engage with JDC’s global mission through a year-long service opportunity connected to JDC’s overseas programs. This year, we are placed all over the world in India, Argentina, Germany, Ukraine, Turkey, Latvia, Russia, Ethiopia, China, Rwanda, and Israel.
